WHAT TO EXPECT AT PACIFIC PERFORMANCE

Every chiropractic office is different. We want to make sure you know exactly what to expect in our office from the first visit to follow-up visits and beyond.

Pacific Performance is proudly a female and LGBTQ-owned local business. Our number one priority is making sure everybody feels comfortable and welcome in our space.

Dr. Jamie's philosophy is that every person is different and their care should be as well. Because of that, she handles all patient care and operations which allows for a

uniquely personalized experience.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST VISIT

After scheduling your initial visit, you will be sent a link to fill out a comprehensive online intake form at your convenience. We kindly ask that you complete this form before your appointment, as this will allow for maximum time for your examination and treatment in the office as well as allowing Dr. Jamie to review your file before you come in.

We always invite patients to hang out in our office! Creating a space that could be described as "coffee shop vibes" was important to Dr. Jamie in the designing of the office, so in our front room we have a coffee bar, water, music, free wi-fi, and a massage chair.

AT YOUR FIRST VISIT

Your first visit will be about an hour long. We suggest you wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in. Your visit will be one-on-one with Dr. Jamie and will include include a thorough review of your history and goals of care, a comprehensive physical exam, and functional movement testing. In almost all cases, you will be treated on the first visit*. Treatments may include chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue work including Active Release Technique®, and corrective exercises. Dr. Jamie uses a variety of chiropractic techniques based on what is most appropriate for that person and also individual preferences. Based on your exam and goals, Dr. Jamie will discuss recommendations for future visits.

*If any additional testing such as x-rays are needed, you will be referred to the appropriate place prior to treatment.

AFTER YOUR FIRST VISIT

Our goal is to get you back to doing the things that are important to you as quickly as possible. What that means might look different for every person with their own unique history and lifestyle. Because of that, Dr. Jamie gives short-term care recommendations with frequent re-evaluations to monitor progression and modify care accordingly. As such, we will never try to sell you a long-term care plan. Many patients do find benefit from incorporating wellness care into their lives, and that's great too! We offer two different office visit types for follow-up and ongoing care: a wellness / maintenance visit for an adjustment-focused visit and an extended visit for a longer appointment that might include more extensive soft tissue therapy or rehabilitation exercises. Patients are free to schedule whichever appointment type best fits their needs at any given time.
